About the Role

As a Sr. Civil & Structures Engineer, you’ll lead structural and foundation design for large‑scale renewable energy projects. Your day involves reviewing calculations and site plans, solving technical challenges, and collaborating with engineering and construction teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality project execution. You will provide technical guidance, support field teams, and help drive continuous improvement across our design standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish safe engineering designs that comply with company, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Perpetuate designs that satisfy the design life of the power plant by ensuring compliance with local, state, and international building codes and company best practices.
• Manage designs to achieve the most economical means while meeting the design life of the power plant.
• Collaborate across company departments, with outside vendors, suppliers, and technical firms to explore innovative ideas, methods, materials, software, and technologies that save costs, increase efficiency, promote safety, and provide strategic benefits.
• Adhere to the company’s cultural basics and the National Society of Professional Engineer’s code of conduct.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with technical and non‑technical personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Four or more years of progressive engineering and engineering supervisory experience in a related industry (heavy civil, industrial, utilities, power generation).
• Engineer‑in‑Training certificate with potential to become a licensed Professional Engineer in 6 months (preferred).
• Experience with travel for project‑based purposes (nationwide); position requires approximately 33% travel.
• Professional Engineer license, preferably with an emphasis on construction, geotechnical, or structural engineering.
• Surveying experience.
