Job summary
Mott MacDonald is seeking a licensed Project Engineer to lead civil and structural design for transmission line, substation, and energy infrastructure projects in the Southwest and North America. 7+ years of delivery experience and strong client interaction are expected.
The role emphasizes leadership of engineering tasks, coordination across geotech, survey, and GIS teams, and delivery of reliable infrastructure with safety and quality at the forefront.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required for work across Southwest U.S.
- 7+ years delivering civil/structural engineering projects in electric utility, transmission, substation, or energy sectors.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D and structural analysis software.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for civil and structural components of transmission and substation projects.
- Develop and review engineering calculations, reports, criteria, specifications, and drawings.
- Lead design and analysis of foundations, structures, and reinforced concrete elements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and support client interactions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to standards and best practices.
