Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide technical leadership for civil and structural engineering services in energy infrastructure across Texas and the Southwest. You will mentor developing engineers, strengthen client relationships, and help grow our civil and structural capabilities.

The role emphasizes project delivery, collaboration, and leadership within a dynamic Energy practice, with a hybrid in-office model and opportunities for growth and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical leader for civil and structural engineering activities supporting transmission, substation, and utility infrastructure programs.
• Act as Engineer of Record, technical reviewer, or discipline lead for major projects.
• Establish engineering approaches, design criteria, technical standards, and best practices.
• Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the Energy team.
• Lead structural and civil work packages and develop engineering scopes, budgets, schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
• Monitor technical quality, scope adherence, and project performance.
• Ensure deliverables are of high quality, on time, and meet client and company requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; act as discipline lead on projects.
• Support recruitment, succession planning, and capability development.
• Help establish engineering standards and delivery practices.
