Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Estimator to oversee lump sum, unit rate and cost-plus estimates across proposals and projects. You will coordinate estimating efforts with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction and provide guidance to junior staff.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in estimating, strong MS Office and scheduling tool skills, and a track record of delivering accurate estimates in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, including estimating experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (e.g., background check, drug screen, MVR) as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates on proposals, projects and studies.
• Plan, coordinate, review, verify and analyze all aspects of estimates.
• Direct, training and developing subordinates.
• Maintain estimating database.
• Coordinate estimate factors with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Construction.
• Provide technical advice to the Project Manager for various estimate levels.
• Assess estimate accuracy and recommend contingencies.
• Support training and development programs for staff.
