Job summary

American Electric Power seeks an Engineer Principal SG9 to lead civil/structural design for power projects in Columbus, OH. You will oversee design criteria, calculations, and coordination with engineers, EPCs, and vendors to meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.

The role requires 8+ years with a ABET-accredited degree (or 6+ with MS/PhD), and PE license is preferred. On-site work across multiple sites is possible with a strong focus on asset lifecycle planning.

Qualifications

• Has typically acquired 8+ years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in ABET-accredited engineering. 또는 6 years with a Master's/PhD in ABET-accredited program.
• PE license in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico preferred or waiver by EVP.
• ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission; Non-ABET path with PE allowed.
