Job summary

Bohler's Fairfield, CT office seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead site design, grading, drainage, and utility work across commercial, residential, and industrial projects in Southern Connecticut.

You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers, mentor juniors, and contribute to project delivery while advancing your technical and leadership path within Bohler.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in civil/site design, grading, drainage, and permitting.
• PE license preferred; EIT required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate site layouts, grading, drainage, and utility systems for complex projects.
• Analyze zoning regulations, site conditions, and environmental constraints to guide design decisions.
• Perform stormwater management and hydrology calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and design software.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver cohesive design packages.
• Review technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist in technical training and quality review.
• Support client communication, permitting efforts, and coordination with review agencies.
