Job summary

STV, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Civil/Roadway Project Manager for the Transportation division. The role focuses on project management and senior design duties for municipal, local government, and NCDOT transportation projects.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in roadway/bridge design, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and an NC PE license. Open Roads Designer experience is a plus, with strong client interaction and leadership across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in roadway or bridge design.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• NC PE license is required.
• Experience with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead project meetings with clients and STV teams.
• Create and monitor scopes, fees, schedules, staffing projections, risk registers, sub agreements, QC records, deliverable submittals, and invoices.

Job description

STV has an immediate need in our North Carolina offices for a Senior Civil/Roadway Project Manager in our Transportation division. The successful candidate will:

• Provide project management and professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies, local governments, and NCDOT.
• Manage design, provide senior-level functional designs, and provide QC for roadway geometry and details, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure.
• Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams
• Design experience using MicroStation, Geopak, experience in Open Roads (ORD) is a plus
• Coordinate design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff
• Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
• Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
• Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV's growth.
• Facilitate and lead project meetings both within STV and with clients.
• Create, maintain, and monitor scopes, fees, schedules, staffing projections, risk registers, sub agreements, QC records, deliverable submittals, and invoices.
• Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and client project managers
• Mentor supporting Civil design staff

The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a comprehensive understanding of pre-construction project management of roadway and bridge projects.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in all technical aspects of roadway design or bridge design
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required
• NC PE license is required
• Experience in project management and design of intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.
• Experience with using Open Roads Designer is a plus
• Experience with NCDOT and other NC municipalities
• Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction

Compensation Range

$111,362.75 - $127,271.72
