STV Incorporated in South Carolina seeks a Roadway Engineering Specialist in our Transportation division to deliver professional design services for municipal, local, and SCDOT projects. The role emphasizes roadway geometry, drainage, signing, markings, and traffic control.

The ideal candidate will have 0–4 years of roadway design experience, a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and familiarity with MicroStation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer; EIT is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of experience in technical aspects of roadway design.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required; new graduates encouraged.
• EIT is preferred.
• Experience with designing intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, or bike/ped facilities.
• Experience with Microstation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction.
• Drainage, erosion control, and utility coordination experience is a plus.

STV has an immediate need in our South Carolina offices for a Roadway Engineering Specialist in our Transportation division. The successful candidate will:

• Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies, local governments, and SCDOT.
• *Provide schematic/functional designs, roadway geometry, roadway details, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure.
• Assist with Utility Coordination on an as-needed basis on small and mid-sized projects.
• Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams.
• Design experience using MicroStation, Geopak, and Open Roads (ORD) is preferred. Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
• Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
• Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV's growth.
• Attend productive project meetings both within STV and with clients.
• Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and client project managers

The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a strong initiative to learn SCDOT practices, checklists, and roadway plans.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 0-4 years of experience in technical aspects of roadway design
• Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required. New graduates and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.
• EIT is preferred
• Experience or prior internships in design of intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, or bike/ped facilities.
• Experience with using Microstation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer is preferred.
• Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction
• Drainage, erosion control, and utility coordination experience is a plus

Compensation Range:

$64,848.58 - $74,112.66
