Job summary

STV in North Carolina seeks a Senior Civil/Roadway Project Manager to lead transportation projects for municipal, local, and NCDOT clients. You will manage design, provide senior-level plans, and QC roadway geometry and drainage while coordinating with client teams and marketing.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in roadway/bridge design, a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and an active NC PE license, with ORD/Open Roads experience preferred.

Job description

STV Has An Immediate Need In Our North Carolina Offices For a Senior Civil/Roadway Project Manager In Our Transportation Division. The Successful Candidate Will

• Provide project management and professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies, local governments, and NCDOT.
• Manage design, provide senior-level functional designs, and provide QC for roadway geometry and details, drainage, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure.
• Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams
• Design experience using MicroStation, Geopak, experience in Open Roads (ORD) is a plus
• Coordinate design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff
• Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
• Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
• Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV’s growth.
• Facilitate and lead project meetings both within STV and with clients.
• Create, maintain, and monitor scopes, fees, schedules, staffing projections, risk registers, sub agreements, QC records, deliverable submittals, and invoices.
• Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and client project managers
• Mentor supporting Civil design staff

The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a comprehensive understanding of pre-construction project management of roadway and bridge projects.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in all technical aspects of roadway design or bridge design
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required
• NC PE license is required
• Experience in project management and design of intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.
• Experience with using Open Roads Designer is a plus
• Experience with NCDOT and other NC municipalities
• Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction

Compensation Range

$111,362.75 - $127,271.72
