Job summary

STV is seeking a Roadway Engineering Specialist in its Transportation Division in South Carolina to provide professional design services for municipal and state projects, including SCDOT. The role involves producing schematic designs, roadway geometry, drainage, traffic control, markings, and signing, with coordination across teams.

The ideal candidate has 0–4 years of roadway design experience, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and possibly an EIT.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of experience in technical aspects of roadway design.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• EIT is preferred
• Experience or prior internships in design of intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, or bike/ped facilities.
• Experience with using Microstation, Geopak, and Open Roads Designer is preferred.
• Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction
• Drainage, erosion control, and utility coordination experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
• Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports
• Work with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV's growth.
• Attend productive project meetings both within STV and with clients.
• Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and client project managers

Job description

STV Has An Immediate Need In Our South Carolina Offices For a Roadway Engineering Specialist In Our Transportation Division. The Successful Candidate Will

The ideal candidate is an individual who is a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and possesses a strong initiative to learn SCDOT practices, checklists, and roadway plans.

• Minimum of 0-4 years of experience in technical aspects of roadway design


• Minimum bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required. New graduates and upcoming graduates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation Range

$64,848.58 - $74,112.66
