Jobot, a well-known law firm, seeks a seasoned Civil Rights Defense Litigation Attorney for a hybrid remote, permanent role. The attorney will defend clients in civil rights cases, draft filings, negotiate settlements, and advocate in court across a high-profile docket.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in civil rights litigation, JD, and state Bar admission, with excellent negotiation, research, and teamwork skills to join a dynamic team and grow with the firm.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in the state of practice is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of civil rights litigation experience with a strong record of outcomes.
• Extensive mediation experience and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal defense to clients alleging civil rights violations.
• Conduct comprehensive defense research to support litigation strategy.
• Draft, review, and file complaints, motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Advocate in court with compelling arguments and evidence.
• Stay updated on civil rights developments and apply to cases.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff for efficient case handling.
• Provide legal guidance to clients about rights and options.
• Participate in community outreach to raise awareness of civil rights issues.
