Job summary

Timmons Group seeks a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager in our Transportation Design Group, based in Richmond, VA. You will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and drive business development while overseeing budgets and schedules for transportation-focused projects.

The role requires 8–10 years in roadway/transportation design, and a Civil Engineering degree with PE/LS preferred. Expect cross-functional collaboration and growth within a nationally recognized firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional registration (PE, LS, etc.) preferred in states where TG operates.
• 8–10 years in roadway design, traffic/transportation engineering, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of project accounting; ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience in marketing and supervising technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and develop strong client relationships.
• Market and pursue business development opportunities; manage scopes and fees.
• Ensure technical quality, profitability, and adherence to schedules.
• Coordinate project staff; communicate with clients and TG Leader; cross-sell services.
• Oversee multiple projects and balance budgets and timelines.
