Job summary

Timmons Group seeks a Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Transportation for our Transportation Design Group in Raleigh, NC. This role demands leadership of transportation projects, strong client relationships, and active marketing and business development to grow GT services.

The successful candidate will oversee budgets and schedules, coordinate staff, and cross-sell services while maintaining professional client communications and driving project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional licensure (P.E., L.S., etc.) in states of practice preferred.
• 8–10 years of roadway design and transportation engineering experience including DOT projects.
• Strong understanding of project accounting; capable of managing schedules and budgets.
• Experience marketing and supervising technical staff.
• Working knowledge of software required to perform essential functions.
• Professional demeanor in client and staff interactions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; meets deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects and develop strong client relationships.
• Market and lead business development, ensure technical quality, profitability, and schedules; coordinate staff; negotiate scopes and fees; assist billing.
• Maintain relationships and cross-sell services; coordinate with Office Manager and Transportation Group Leader.
• Capably manage several mid-sized projects, multiple small projects, or a single large project simultaneously.
