Job summary

Timmons Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager in the Structure & Bridge Design Group. The role leads design efforts, oversees the structural team, and collaborates with clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.

A Virginia PE is preferred or ability to obtain by comity; 8–15 years of structural design experience required; proficiency with major design software; strong communication skills essential for client and team leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 8-15 years structural design experience with bridge projects.
• Virginia Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain by comity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of AASHTO LRFD and VDOT standards.
• Proficiency in structural design software (MDX, Virtis, Merlin-Dash, Descus, Bar7, STAAD).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Structural Engineering design efforts.
• Manage clients and pursue business development.
• Develop work plans, schedules, estimates and budgets.
• Supervise and review work of engineers; mentor juniors.
• Perform complex bridge design for new and rehab projects.
• Assist with marketing plans.
