Job summary

Core States Group seeks a Senior Civil Project Manager to lead diverse civil engineering projects from concept to completion. You will coordinate with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural teams and oversee field observation, permitting, and construction administration.

You will manage clients, budgets, and personnel, ensuring timely delivery and high quality. The role emphasizes QA/QC and expanding client relationships in a multi-discipline environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• P.E. would be a plus, but not required.
• 10+ years of Civil Engineering Project Management experience in site/civil production with commercial projects.
• Experience with Civil 3D and AutoCAD; proficient in MS Office.
• Demonstrated ability to identify practical uses for AI tools to improve team processes and decision making; review AI-generated content for accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects for multiple clients, ensuring timelines are met and communicated.
• Serve as the lead point of contact for clients.
• Oversee financial performance, including profit, efficiency, and AR management.
• Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with clients and sub-consultants.
• Manage project plans, budgets, resources, and scheduling within parameters.
• Identify design criteria and oversee efficient design and plan preparation.
• Solve design problems using engineering calculations and standard practices.
• Coordinate with internal disciplines and external project teams.
• Mentor Project Engineers and Designers.
• Follow QA/QC practices and pursue improvements in quality and efficiency.
• Foster client relationships and explore growth opportunities with clients.
• Participate in new client pursuits.
• Understand constructability and identify liability issues; assess project risks and costs.
