RESPEC in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to lead residential and commercial land development projects, managing contracts, budgets, design, workload, and permitting.

The role requires PE licensure in Florida or ability to obtain within 1 year, about 10+ years' experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and hydrology software. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• BS in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field
• PE license in Florida or ability to obtain/transfer within 1 year
• Approximately 10+ years of experience
• Experience in contract administration, permitting, earthwork, site grading, utilities, stormwater management, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and utility design
• Familiarity with development and design processes specific to local geographic markets
• Experience with AutoCAD and various hydrology/hydraulics software

Job description

RESPEC seeks a Senior Civil Project Manager located in our Sarasota, FL location. This role involves all aspects of managing residential and commercial land development projects, including contracts, budgets, design, workload, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Providing oversight on various construction projects and working with construction inspectors


• Developing and producing conceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings


• Assisting with the preparation of construction plans, detail drawings, and project specifications


• Reviewing construction plans, performing horizontal and vertical roadway alignment calculations, and conducting utility research and coordination


• Assisting with permitting submittals


• Performing quantity calculations and completing engineering cost opinions

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• BS in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field


• Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida, or the ability to obtain or transfer license within 1 year of start date


• Approximately 10+ years of experience


• Experience in contract administration, permitting, earthwork, site grading, utilities, stormwater management, roadway design, hydrology and hydraulic calculations, and utility design


• Familiarity with development and design processes that are specific to local geographic markets


• Experience with AutoCAD and various hydrology/hydraulics software, including StormCAD, WaterCAD, ICPR, or similar software packages

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. The salary range for this position begins at $125,000. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
