Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) seeks a Senior Project Manager in the Waste Management Practice at our Philadelphia, PA office.

You will lead project teams to deliver civil engineering tasks including airspace and earthwork calculations, stormwater and leachate systems, landfill gas collection, geotechnical analyses, and landfill grading plans, with responsibility for proposals, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• 10+ years of experience
• Professional Engineering License (P.E.), with registration in PA or ability to obtain preferred
• Expert in technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software
• Established clients/contacts in the Solid Waste client sectors
• Experience in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably
• Participation in both client- and professional development-based organizations
• Excellent communication skills (speaking and writing), including experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials
• Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to complete civil engineering tasks (airspace/earthwork calculations)
• Prepare and review technical reports
• Design stormwater management, leachate collection, and landfill gas systems
• Perform geotechnical analyses and prepare landfill grading plans
• Develop proposals, budgets, and project schedules
• Manage engineering staff and ensure quality control
• Interact with clients, contractors, and government officials throughout the project lifecycle
