Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. in Monroeville, PA is seeking an Engineering Senior Project Manager to lead design, analysis, permitting, and construction-phase services for municipal solid waste, CCR, and industrial waste facilities.

You'll coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulators, mentor junior staff, and drive projects from concept through fee-ready drawings and specifications, in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in the design, permitting, document preparation, and construction quality assurance (CQA) of waste disposal facilities.
• Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or with ability to obtain a Pennsylvania licensure.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in proposal and report writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, permitting, and construction-phase services for municipal, residual CCR, and industrial waste management facilities
• Oversee the design of landfill systems including soil and geosynthetics liners, leachate and stormwater infrastructure, gas collection systems, site roadways, and support structures
• Prepare permit applications, design reports, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and solid waste management plans
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate agency review processes while mentoring junior staff and supporting project delivery
• Assist our engineering team with site development and geotechnical engineering projects
