Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineering to join our Kansas City team. You will lead design, permitting, and client development for diverse land development projects, partnering with industry leadership to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
10+ years of local site/civil engineering experience in land development.
Professional Engineering license.
Experience designing site layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion and sediment control from concept to completion.
Strong client development and client management abilities.
Proficiency of AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
Active participation in professional organizations.
Experience in technical and proposal writing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Design and permit residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouses and mixed-use projects for public/private clients.
Collaborate with office leadership to develop growth plans and staff utilization.
Lead business development by creating new client relationships and maintaining existing ones.
Oversee site/civil efforts from concept to completion (layout, grading, drainage, infrastructure, erosion control).
Lead storm water management design and SWPPP preparation.
Integrate geotechnical and environmental considerations into land development work.
Perform additional duties as requested.
