Job summary

Langan is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Kansas City, MO. This role supports planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.

You will gain experience in site/civil design for mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal projects, and other land development initiatives, fostering early career growth and exposure to diverse assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 0-2 years of work-related experience.
• EIT Certification or FE exam registration preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and MS Office.
• Internship or professional site/civil design experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Availability Monday–Friday; some evenings/weekends.
• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil projects.
• Assist with preparation of reports, plans, specs, schedules, and cost estimates using CAD software.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, and photos to assess soils, terrain, hydrology and geology.
• Suggest new approaches to improve efficiency and services.
• Apply engineering and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks.
• Perform other duties as requested.
