Job summary

Bateman Civil Survey Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee large, multidisciplinary land development projects and manage client relationships. The role guides proposal development, contract negotiations, and high‑level presentations while mentoring staff and ensuring QA/QC adherence.

You will lead scheduling, budgeting, and staffing for multiple projects, coordinating with senior leadership on resource planning and departmental growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Land Development Civil Engineering.
• PE license required.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of Civil 3D software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee large‑scale, multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to closeout.
• Serve as the primary client liaison for strategic project planning, contracts, and high‑level communication.
• Lead project scheduling, staffing, budgeting, and resource planning for multiple concurrent efforts.
• Provide high‑level technical guidance and approvals on designs, submittals, and regulatory strategy.
• Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and CAD staff, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
• Identify, pursue, and lead major business development and proposal efforts.
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Represent the company at public meetings, hearings, and client presentations.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on financial performance and hiring needs.
• Maintain relationships with municipal agencies, consultants, and developers.
