Job summary

Bateman Civil Survey Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead surveying projects from initiation to completion. You will plan, allocate resources, and guide a diverse team of surveying professionals to deliver accurate results on time and within budget.

The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with emphasis on client satisfaction and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on, on-site leadership position in Apex, NC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years CAD experience.
• PLS preferred.
• Strong leadership and technical oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timeline, and resource allocation.
• Ensure documents/maps are accurate before signing/sealing by a PLS.
• Mentor junior staff and develop templates to increase efficiency.
• Serve as the primary client contact and ensure needs are met.
• Prepare and manage project budgets within constraints.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
• Review survey data and drawings for QC before PLS review.
• Choose appropriate surveying methodologies for each project.
• Provide guidance to surveying staff and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors to achieve goals.
• Maintain complete, accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; enforce safety protocols.
