Job summary

William Charles Construction, a MasTec Company, is hiring for an experienced Senior Estimator with heavy civil, highways and roadways background. The role involves accurate takeoffs and cost estimates for earthwork, underground utilities, PCC paving, and concrete work.

The position can be based in Rockford, IL, Indianapolis, IN, or Springfield, IL, with travel to Illinois and Indiana offices for pre-bid activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil estimating.
• Extensive experience with earthwork and underground work; PCC paving knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and interpret contract documents to provide accurate cost estimates.
• Develop preliminary budgets and itemized summaries for go/no-go decisions.
• Identify risk exposure and develop cost impacts.
• Present complete estimates and represent the company at pre-bids and site visits.
