Job summary

Fessler & Bowman Inc. is seeking a Civil Foreman to lead field crews on heavy civil projects. You will validate work plans, manage daily progress, and coordinate with superintendents and project managers to meet deadlines.

The role requires strong safety practices, reliable communication, and hands-on supervision of six or more tradespeople. Travel to nearby job sites is required; extensive field experience and a clean driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Civil Foreman experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience leading crews of 6+ people while completing listed utility construction tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to job coach and promote safety.

Responsibilities

• Validate take-off quantities and ensure site materials and subs are on site per schedule.
• Review grades and ensure elevations match latest drawings.
• Prepare 3-week look ahead with Superintendent and PM.
• Communicate daily progress and address risks to schedule, quantities, or manpower.
• Organize and manage demobilization for manpower, equipment and materials.
• Ensure on-site safety, inspections, and environmental compliance.
• Oversee projects from start to finish, coordinating workers without supervision.
