Job summary

Premise Inc. is seeking a Civil Journeyworker Foreman to oversee construction crews across multiple projects. You will ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to high quality standards, providing leadership and hands-on guidance to crew members.

You will supervise crew activities, conduct inspections, coordinate with equipment operators, and maintain thorough records. Travel to various sites will be required, with a focus on safety and adherence to plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years experience as a Civil Construction Journeyworker or equivalent.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% and work at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil labor crews and coordinate activities.
• Perform racking and panel assembly; hand dig trenches and backfill.
• Manage labor production timelines and daily crew responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, safety, and quality standards.
• Provide training and guidance to apprentices and less experienced laborers.
• Coordinate with equipment operators to ensure proper certification and use.
• Communicate with managers, site supervisors, safety team, and client representatives to ensure project success.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
• Maintain detailed records of progress, labor hours, and materials used.
