Job summary

Metric Geo seeks an experienced Civil Estimator to prepare cost estimates for civil, municipal, and highway construction projects, including underground utilities. You will support bidding, take-offs, vendor quotes, and change orders, working with project teams through the full lifecycle.

The role requires at least five years of civil construction estimating experience, familiarity with road and underground utilities, and proficiency in Excel and estimation tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating.
• Experience with roadway/highway and underground utility (water, sewer, storm) estimating.
• Proficiency in Excel and cost estimation software.
• Knowledge of geotechnical investigations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and Superintendents throughout the project life cycle.
• Work closely with Engineers, Architects, Owners, Contractors and Subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
