Zusammenfassung

Metric Geo is seeking an Estimator to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil construction and underground utilities across commercial, residential, municipal, and highway projects. You will aid in bidding, take-offs, vendor quotes, change orders, and contract updates, coordinating with project teams throughout the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of estimating experience, with strong Excel and bid

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of civil construction and underground utility estimating.
• Familiarity with geotechnical investigations and reports.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple estimates.
• Experience with HCSS-Heavy Bid and AG-tek; strong Excel skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation mindset.

Aufgaben

• Analyze blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Prepare estimates for selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinators, Managers, and Superintendents.
• Work with Engineers, Architects, Owners, Contractors on cost changes.
• Prepare estimates used for planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
• Create cost expenditure statements through project life cycle.
• Assess cost effectiveness and monitor actuals vs bids.
• Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
• Conduct studies to establish standard hour and cost data.
• Solicit quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Attend pre-bid and project meetings as required.
• Calculate labor, equipment and materials costs for detailed estimates.
