Job summary

Kiewit Corporation in the Kansas City metro area seeks a Civil Estimator with 5+ years of infrastructure estimating experience to join our Central District. You will be responsible for leading estimates for self-performed civil work across highways, bridges, rail, drainage and utilities.

You will collaborate with preconstruction and construction teams to develop robust estimates, review plans, and coordinate with clients and vendors.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, construction, estimating or similar field with 5+ years of civil estimating experience.
• Experience leading estimates and small estimating teams; mentoring required.
• Strong attention to detail and leadership; proficient with MS Office and estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead complete estimates and quantity takeoffs for self-performed civil scopes.
• Review plans and specs to prepare a solid estimate basis.
• Coordinate with PMs, design engineers, superintendents and clients to align expectations.
• Lead subcontractor and vendor selection and possibly small estimating teams.
• Support bid preparation and keep estimates on schedule.
