Job summary

LVI Associates in New York is seeking an Estimator to support preconstruction across underground utilities, heavy civil, trenchless rehab, roadway and select energy projects. This role suits someone with a construction or field background who wants to grow within a structured estimating team and tackle technically challenging work.

You will develop estimates from review through submission, analyze plans and specs, and build cost models while coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Civil/Construction fields.
• Strong grasp of plans, specs, and contract docs.
• Experience estimating for infrastructure projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates from initial review through submission.
• Analyze drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost modeling.
• Develop means/methods aligned with site conditions.
• Solicit and review subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and work scopes.
• Support pre-bid meetings, site visits, and reviews.
• Assist in bid documents and submission.
