Job summary

Global Infrastructure, based in Inverness, is seeking a Civil Engineering Estimator to play a key role in planning and delivering cost estimates for a range of civil projects in the energy sector. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting and timely bid submissions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimation software.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Estimator or in a similar estimating role.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and cost estimation techniques.
• Proficiency with estimation software and related tools.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities; able to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyse project plans and specs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and stakeholders for data.
• Identify all cost factors including materials, labour and production time.
• Present cost estimates and budgets to clients and senior management.
• Update estimates as project details evolve and stay current.
• Assist in preparing bid proposals and tender documents.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulations and best practices.
