Job summary

Stellar Energy Global Infrastructure (SEGI) in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Senior/Lead Estimator to own total project cost estimates from early budgets to detailed proposals. You will collaborate with Business and Technical Developers to build defensible numbers and ensure consistency across bids.

You will present estimates to executive leadership, defend assumptions, and continuously improve templates, data, and tools, including AI-assisted processes, to speed decisions and improve accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years cost estimating on power generation, energy, industrial, or similar capital projects.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel with complex formulas, lookups, pivots, and auditable workbooks.
• Outstanding attention to detail and a proven track record presenting to senior leadership.
• Experience supporting proposals and presenting to executives.

Responsibilities

• Compile accurate total project cost estimates from preliminary budgeting to detailed proposals.
• Own each estimate end to end, including assumptions, inclusions, exclusions, and contingencies.
• Solicit and level vendor quotations to ensure complete and comparable equipment scope.
• Document the commercial basis of quotes, including warranties, freight, and exclusions.
• Develop labor costs with Engineering and Project Management teams.
• Integrate installation and construction costs into the total estimate.
• Maintain central estimating data and standard templates for consistency.
• Present estimates to executive leadership and defend key cost drivers with data.
