Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Civil or Environmental Engineer for our Holland, Lansing, or Novi, MI offices to lead civil/environmental projects across solid waste, CCR, power, and infrastructure. You will guide geotechnical design, earthworks, drainage, and permitting efforts while mentoring staff and coordinating with clients.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a professional engineer license, and a proven ability to deliver large-scale projects with strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in civil/infrastructure engineering.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Advanced proficiency with civil engineering design, permitting, and related issues.
• Proficiency with office automation and design software (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the civil engineering discipline and project deliverables.
• Review permits, designs, plans, and contracts to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Lead large, complex civil projects, manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
• Develop business and pipeline growth for infrastructure projects in the assigned geography.
• Lead technical aspects of contract negotiations and client meetings.
