Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Geotechnical/Civil Engineer for our Lansing or Holland, MI office. You will work on Earth & Environment projects spanning solid waste, infrastructure, and water systems, leading geotechnical design and analysis with a focus on client outcomes.

You will manage investigations, prepare reports, and mentor junior staff while collaborating across disciplines and meeting project objectives with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Geological or Civil Engineering.
• 5-7 years of geotechnical/geological/civil design or construction experience.
• Engineer-in-Training registration or PE license is preferred.
• Experience with QA/QC, permitting, drawings, specs, and estimates.
• Strong communication and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, scope, and manage small projects within Earth & Environment.
• Lead subsurface investigations and lab testing programs.
• Prepare design reports, drawings, specs, and estimates.
• Assist with construction QA projects and client interaction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
