Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Civil or Environmental Engineer for our Holland, Lansing, or Novi, MI offices. You will lead civil/environmental projects across solid waste, water, infrastructure, and permitting and will collaborate with the Earth & Environment Team to meet client objectives.

Responsibilities include leading complex projects, reviewing plans and permits, mentoring staff, and pursuing work in the geography with occasional travel. A PE license and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
10+ years of post-education experience in civil and infrastructure design.
Licensed engineer (multi-state preferred).
Strong knowledge of civil/infrastructure design, codes, and permitting.
Proven ability to lead complex civil projects and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for civil engineering discipline and project delivery within the region.
Review permits, plans, specs, and contracts for compliance with regulations and standards.
Lead large civil projects, manage budgets, track hours and expenses, and supervise staff and subcontractors.
Develop business opportunities and lead pursuit of infrastructure work in assigned geography.
