Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Technical Manager, Civil Engineering to join the Facilities team in Madison, WI, driving site civil design across complex facility and infrastructure projects. Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Ability to perform work requiring independent judgment and adaptation of engineering principles and procedures.
• Experience in land development, municipal utility design, water resources, or environmental engineering.
• Proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrologic analysis, grading, and site development design.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in developing client relationships and understanding client needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform site civil design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management for facility projects.
• Develop design solutions using AutoCAD Civil 3D and terrain modeling tools.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, clients, and contractors.
• Support permitting and regulatory agency coordination.
• Assist with construction administration and respond to field questions as needed.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to overall project success.
• Apply WSP's QA/QC processes and engineering standards.
• Grow toward leading projects with guidance from senior engineers.
