Job summary

Stratus® is seeking a Senior Engineer - Civil/Site with strong public sector experience to lead design of civil/site and utility infrastructure projects, with emphasis on water and wastewater system design. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can independently prepare plans, lead junior staff, and coordinate with project managers, clients, and agency stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be highly proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, comfortable working on complex site/utility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in civil/site and utility infrastructure design.
• Significant experience delivering public sector projects, including water and wastewater system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil/site and utility design plans for public sector projects.
• Develop plan sets, profiles, details, and technical drawings for construction documents.
• Coordinate permitting requirements and agency standards for public infrastructure projects.
• Lead and mentor junior engineering staff and CAD designers.
• Prepare full plan sets independently with base mapping, alignments, and drainage sheets.
• Maintain organized design files and support QA/QC processes.
