Job summary
Farnsworth Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Sr. Civil Engineer to lead planning, design, and management of municipal civil projects in Illinois. You will develop construction plans, collaborate across disciplines, and engage with clients and agencies. A PE license or active pursuit is required, with 15+ years of related experience.

Qualifications
- BS or MS in Civil Engineering.
- 15+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or actively seeking licensure.
- Certified Floodplain Manager a plus.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, manage municipal civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare construction documents and plans.
- Collaborate with Farnsworth Group disciplines and consultants.
- Lead project meetings with city staff and boards.
- Develop proposals and assist with business development.
- Coordinate with IDOT, IEPA, County, MWRD and project submittals.
- Mentor younger engineers and manage client relationships.
- Conduct field observations and condition assessments.
