Job summary

Farnsworth Group, a nationally recognized architectural engineering and surveying firm, seeks a Water Resources Engineer to lead diverse water resources projects and mentor staff in Lisle, IL. You will manage client relations and project finances while exploring new opportunities with leadership.

You will design projects (natural channels, green infrastructure, detention, culverts, IDOT systems) and perform rigorous hydrology/hydraulic analyses, supporting growth of the water resources practice.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering required.
• 15+ years of engineering experience or advanced degree with equivalent experience.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a variety of water resources projects from inception to completion.
• Provide technical and project leadership; mentor engineering staff.
• Oversee client relationships and project financials.
• Support growth of water resources practice via business development and strategic planning.
• Coordinate with leadership to explore future opportunities and staffing needs.
• Design water resources projects including natural channel design, green infrastructure, detention, culvert, and IDOT highway storm sewer systems.
• QA/QC hydrology and hydraulic modeling and analysis.
• Review floodplain and drainage studies; prepare reports on analyses and model results.
