Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a Civil Engineer 4 in Ohio to lead technical analyses and deliver innovative solutions for medium-sized projects. You will drive scope development,Evaluate design alternatives, and stamp documents with your PE license to ensure quality and compliance.

You will collaborate with civil, structural, and other disciplines, mentor junior engineers, and manage project staffing, budgets, and schedules to achieve successful outcomes in a collaborative, forward-thinking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 12 years of progressively responsible civil engineering experience.
• Current Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Proven track record of managing medium-sized projects with budget and schedule oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive technical guidance within civil engineering, ensuring all project elements meet industry standards.
• Lead development and assessment of project scopes, identify changes and evaluate impacts on timeline, budget, and resources.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
• Oversee QA by reviewing design work for compliance with codes and constructibility requirements.
• Stamp project documents using your PE license to demonstrate accountability and integrity.
• Manage staff, budgets, and schedules to guarantee successful project delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and project team members to promote knowledge sharing and growth.
• Balance detailed design with strategic project management to deliver exceptional engineering solutions.
