Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a Civil Engineer 4 to lead medium-sized projects and deliver innovative engineering solutions for communities and infrastructure. You will perform advanced analyses, develop design solutions, and move projects from concept through completion, coordinating with civil, structural, and other disciplines.

Qualified candidates hold a PE license, an ABET-accredited degree, and 12+ years of experience; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; PE license required.
• Minimum of 12+ years of civil engineering experience with project leadership.
• Master's degree preferred; strong design and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance within civil engineering and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Lead development and assessment of project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design efforts across engineering disciplines and client teams.
• Oversee quality assurance of design work and documentation; stamp documents with PE license.
• Manage staffing plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure project success.
• Mentor junior engineers and support professional growth.
• Balance technical precision with strategic project management to deliver solutions.
