Job summary

Jobot in Lexington, KY seeks a Permanent Senior Engineer - Project Manager with CCR and landfill experience to lead and manage complex solid waste projects. The role requires guiding planning, design, procurement, and field execution while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 7 years of related experience, and PE (preferred) or PMP certification. A competitive compensation package accompanies relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Minimum seven (7) years of progressively responsible engineering experience in solid waste management, landfill, or CCR.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards related to CCR and landfill.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CCR and landfill projects from planning through completion.
• Develop project plans, risk management plans, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure progression within budget and timeline.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards related to CCR and landfill.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts.
• Oversee contract administration, including tendering, negotiation, and contractor selection.
• Continuously monitor and report on project status to stakeholders and senior management.
