Job summary

LaBella is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of multidisciplinary public infrastructure projects in North Carolina. You’ll mentor staff, develop teams, and strengthen client partnerships with municipal and state entities to deliver sustainable, resilient solutions.

You’ll oversee budgets, schedules, staffing, and QA/QC of design deliverables, while pursuing new business opportunities and proposals that expand our community impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years in municipal/public infrastructure design and project management.
• PE license in NC or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proven experience leading teams, managing clients, and delivering infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of AutoDesk Civil 3D, stormwater and utility design, and local standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of multidisciplinary public infrastructure projects.
• Develop a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal and state clients.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, staffing, and performance.
• Provide QA/QC oversight on design deliverables.
• Lead business development from identifying opportunities to proposals.
• Collaborate across offices and disciplines to share resources and strengthen technical excellence.
