LaBella, a civil design firm, invites a Civil Designer to support public infrastructure projects in Charlotte, NC. You’ll assist in roadway, stormwater, and utility designs, produce drawings and cost estimates, and participate in site visits.

Join a mentorship-oriented team that values collaboration across planning, environmental, surveying, and other disciplines. Salary range listed: $68,000-$72,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D (preferred, not required).
• Strong communication, teamwork, and curiosity about public infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing roadway, stormwater, and utility designs.
• Produce drawings, plans, cost estimates, and technical documents.
• Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation and data collection.
• Support senior engineers in evaluating design alternatives and solving technical challenges.
• Collaborate with teams across planning, environmental, surveying, and other disciplines.
• Engage in design training and mentoring activities that build technical foundation.
