Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Land Development team in Charlotte. You will work from project master planning through final construction close out, partnering with internal teams and client partners to develop preliminary designs, permitting reports, and construction documents for a variety of land development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 3-5+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience with HydroCAD, or other hydrologic modeling software.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, including pipe networks, surfaces, corridor modeling, grading and earthwork calculations.
• EI licensed and on track to become a PE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working as a team member with the Civil Design Team, prepare site and subdivision plans for permit approval by local municipalities and State agencies.
• Perform detailed hydrologic calculations for sizing stormwater systems, preparation of stormwater management and erosion and sediment control plans.
• Perform detailed hydraulic calculations for adequately conveying stormwater runoff, and sizing of water quality and stormwater detention basins.
• Collaboratively work with teams to create site design(s) that solve a client's need.
• Assist with CAD drafting to produce effective and high-quality project documents, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform site visits and attend project meetings as needed by the client.
• Assist with preparation of bid documents and provide construction administration services as needed.
