Job summary

EDG Inc. in Metairie, LA seeks a Civil Engineer III to design steel and concrete structures for marine terminals, industrial facilities and oil & gas projects.

The role requires proficiency with RISA, Staad, and SACS, and it involves collaboration with the Civil & Structural Engineering department. The successful candidate will contribute to dock layouts, foundation design, and mooring analyses while coordinating with clients and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• Candidate with engineering degrees attained outside the U.S. must have an E.I.T. designation from a U.S. based state licensing board.
• Requires five to ten years experience in engineering design related to job duties and responsibilities.
• Requires familiarity with total project systems to include mechanical, structural, civil and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Design of pipe and tray supports.
• Design of reinforced concrete paving, beams and columns and/or foundations.
• Design of deep and/or shallow foundations.
• Design of steel jacket for dock and mooring/berthing structures in water with piles.
• Perform wind, seismic load and/or mooring calculations.
• Attend project meetings with clients and other disciplines.
