Job summary

EDG is seeking a Civil & Structural Engineer to lead the structural design of steel and concrete structures for marine terminals and energy facilities. You will model concepts through construction using RISA, STAAD/STADD, and SACS, performing wind, seismic, and mooring analyses while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 5–10 years of design experience, a BS in Civil Engineering, and the ability to travel to client sites. A PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• For candidates with engineering degrees attained outside the U.S., must have E.I.T. designation from a U.S.-based state board.
• Requires 5–10 years of engineering design experience relevant to the duties.
• Familiarity with mechanical, civil, electrical components of projects.
• Experience with RISA, STADD, and/or SACS.

Responsibilities

• Design of pipe and tray supports.
• Design of reinforced concrete paving, beams, columns and/or foundations.
• Design of deep and/or shallow foundations.
• Design of steel jackets for dock and mooring structures in water with piles.
• Design of personnel walkways, stairs, ladders and related structures.
• Perform structural calculations for beams, columns, and connections.
• Perform wind, seismic, and mooring calculations.
• Create scopes of geotechnical, hydrographic and topographic work.
• Attend project meetings and prepare minutes.
