Apex Companies is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead civil design projects and drive growth in the Walla Walla market. You will balance project delivery with client relationship management and strategic growth initiatives, working with senior leadership to identify opportunities and manage from pursuit through completion.

You will collaborate across engineering and environmental service lines, mentor staff, and help shape our presence in the region.

Qualifications

• This position requires a bachelor’s in civil engineering and professional registration or eligibility within a year (Washington).
• 8+ years’ experience as a consulting engineer with design and project management of land development and municipal projects.
• Solid understanding of civil design standards and environmental constraints.
• Track record of meeting deadlines and budgets.
• Flexibility and creativity in engineering approaches.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical lead on cumulative projects >$750K annually.
• Contribute to business development >$250K annually.
• Coordinate needs with discipline leads and business units.
• Manage design staff as lead engineer on tasks.
• Provide leadership in efficient and constructive design.
