Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Civil Engineer III to join our team in the Rio Grande Valley, TX, remotely. The role centers on leading complex land development projects, coordinating with clients, agencies, and design teams, and delivering compliant design solutions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in civil engineering, 5+ years of land development experience, and a PE is preferred. Proficiency with Civil3D, AutoCAD, and related tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required at time of hire.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Five or more (5+) years of experience in the land development industry.
• Land Development engineering experience and skills; drainage and BMP design preferred.
• Experience with Civil3D and other civil engineering design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical direction over other engineers and provide guidance and delegation of assignments.
• Assist with marketing of the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.
• Review zoning regulations and interpret them for land development projects.
• Develop initial civil design concepts for assigned phases of land/site development.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on complex projects.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and submittal documents; assist with permit processes.
