Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Civil Engineer I to join our Austin, TX team. You will work on moderately complex land/site development projects under supervision, applying standard engineering techniques and collaborating with senior engineers and clients.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and is eager to grow professionally. Proficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD, and related tools is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills highlighted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline required at time of employment.
• Entry level; land/site development experience a plus.
• Familiarity with Civil3D, AutoCAD, and stormwater modeling tools.
• Experience reading construction plans.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize the initial civil design approach for large land/site development.
• Complete civil engineering work for assigned phases of large land/site development.
• Assist with developing plans, specifications, and reports.
• Complete design work and calculations using computer-aided software.
• Provide technical assistance in resolving design problems and coordinating with others.
