Job summary

MetaOption, LLC is seeking a Civil Engineer with 7+ years of experience to oversee land development for commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects from concept to completion. You will drive schedules, budgets, and coordination with designers, contractors, and public agencies to meet project goals.

The role emphasizes expediting processes, maintaining standards, and producing reports to support decision-making and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Virginia PE license or reciprocity within 6 months.
• 7+ years of land development project oversight for commercial, residential, and mixed-use deployments.
• Ability to read, interpret, and amend construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Experience with construction management and scheduling tools (Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of land development projects from concept through completion.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules from inception through bond release.
• Monitor budgets, cost projections, change orders, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and agencies to ensure compliance and on-schedule delivery.
• Prepare RFPs and manage competitive bidding for consultants and vendors.
• Ensure quality control and alignment with codes and company standards.
